phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection

0 votes
I can't backup my database mysql from localhost/phpmyadmin ?
There an error msg said like this :
"phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server".
Please your advise, what should I do.

Did you get this sorted out?
Generally, the error message means just what is says ... there is some problem in the user name / password info that is keeping phpMyAdmin from "talking" to the database / server properly.
So, double check to make sure that you have your user name and password correct.
And, the host is generally "localhost" in a situation like yours.
